In his paintings, Fred ten Tusscher (1940-2023), achieves an unusual form of synergy between two significant movements known to modern art. Rather than swing indescriminately between one movement and the other, he synthesises the essential characteristics of both "isms" in his own unique style, having found an original medium of expression to complement his personality. 

When painting (pure) nudes, Fred particulary concentrated on the human body's unlimited possibilities of expression. Either in bold and bright colour combinations with oilpaint as a single color tone in watercolor, like this work of art.
